Sarah is a clinical psychologist with over fifteen years experience specialising in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders and depression. She was the Director of the Emotional Health Clinic at Macquarie University for three years, where her role involved the co-ordination of clinical research trials, the provision of clinical supervision to staff and students, and the design of interventions for anxiety disorders. Sarah has also help positions at Uspace, an inpatient mental health unit for young adults. Sarah previously worked at the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) at St Vincent\’s Hospital, the Mood Disorders Day Program at Northside Clinic, and in the public health system in the United Kingdom. She has done contract work for the World Health Organisation and has been appointed as an Honorary Associate in Psychology at Macquarie University, The University of Sydney and The University of Western Sydney.
Sarah has had a number of research articles published in international journals and has presented on the treatment of anxiety disorders at several psychology conferences and university lectures. She is a committee member of the Anxiety Practitioners\’ Network, and a member of Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT). She primarily uses a cognitive behavioural approach.
